Active Elements, Epic Scenery, Rural Charm Vivid memories often linger through taste, and Scotland’s Isle of Skye serves a feast for the senses. Relish local flavours amidst stunning landscapes and warm hospitality.

Trip Overview:

Enjoy the sights, legends, and flavours in a magical part of Scotland, the Isle of Skye.

Your Scottish vacation starts in Edinburgh, Scotland’s charismatic capital. Whether you’re keeping warm with a wee dram during the wet winter months or hopping between shows, enjoying the sunshine and boundless energy of summer’s Fringe Festival, it’s worth spending a few days here before or after your Isle of Skye tour.

En route to Skye, visit Loch Lubnaig, the Great Moor of Rannoch, and perhaps the highlight of the day is Glen Coe. The Glen hides its violent history under verdant slopes hikers and trekkers have loved exploring for centuries. Stop in at photogenic Eileen Donan Castle, isolated on a tidal island, then cross to the Isle of Skye, where a hearty local dinner awaits with views over the Roag Peninsula.

Your full day in Skye is divided between its myths and flavours. Pay your respects to the Old Man of Storr, visit the Faerie Pools that dance down the slope from dark mountains above, and take in the view of Quiraing to see Skye in all its glory. Enjoy lunch in the colourful town of Portree, then visit Talisker Distillery, where you’ll learn about the whisky-making process and try Skye’s distinctly peaty drams.

Return to the mainland and visit Rogie Falls (brave the suspension bridge for the best view) on your way to Inverness. No first visit to Scotland is complete without keeping your eyes peeled for Nessie, but since the monster is notoriously shy, your driver and guide will direct you to some of the town’s best restaurants that specialize in traditional Highland dishes. Finally, picture-perfect Pitlochry (try saying it after a dram or two) invites you to capture some final photos and refreshment before returning to bonnie Edinburgh to end your trip to Scotland.
