Rome to Tuscany - Privately Guided Italy

Day 1: Welcome to Rome

On arrival at the airport or rail station, you'll be warmly greeted and chauffeured to the Palazzo Navona Hotel in the heart of the Eternal City. The rest of this day is yours to get settled and enjoy as you wish.

Day 2: Tailor Your Stay in Rome #WHS#

Rich in both history, art and modern-day culture, Rome offers so much to enjoy. Today you'll have the opportunity to personalize your exploration based upon your personal interests. Just choose one of these included half-day tours and let your private guide immerse you in the city they love and know so well! Walking Tour with Tagliere Tasting: A relaxed morning walk with your personal guided reveals some of the city's most iconic sites including the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona - built on the site of an ancient Roman stadium and hailed today as one of the city's most beautiful. This tour ends at a local macelleria (butcher shop) for a Tagliere - a tasting of their fine cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by fresh bread and a glass of fine Italian wine. This 4-hour tour begins at 9:00 am outside the Farmacia (Pharmacy) at the base of the Spanish Steps. It is offered daily except Sunday and other blackout dates may apply. Roman Gastronomy Tour: Experience the sights, sounds and flavors of the city like a true Roman citizen! With a chauffeured vehicle and private guide, you'll visit a couple neighborhood markets mingling with the locals as they go about their daily shopping. With colorful insights from your in-the-know guide, you'll browse among the lively stalls - pausing to sample a variety of local delicacies from cured meats and artisanal cheeses to Rome's famous Pizza Bianca, a simple pizza with olive oil and salt. With pick-up and drop-off at your hotel, this 3-hour tour is offered daily except Sunday. Some blackout dates may apply. Roman Forum + Colosseum Walking Tour: Starting out from the city's most iconic landmark, this half-day walking tour brings Rome's ancient Imperial glory to life. Standing inside the largest amphitheater of the Roman era, it's easy to imagine the palpable excitement of the 70,000 spectators who filled the Colosseum 2,000 years ago. Then continue with your private guide to explore the extensive ruins of the Roman Forum. Filled with temples, basilicas, government buildings and bustling public spaces, this is where the city's ancient denizens would gather to do business, debate politics or simply connect with their fellow citizens. This 3-hour tour begins in front of the newsstand by the Colosseo station exit of the Line B Metro and ends at the Forum. This tour is offered daily with certain blackout dates throughout the year. Vatican Museums: Your chauffeured vehicle and guide will meet you at your hotel for an immersive journey through art, history and architecture. The complex of buildings now known as the Vatican Museums were built as the official residence of the Popes and the interior architecture is as impressive as the many treasures now on display. With informative narration and colorful stories, your privately guided tour will reveal works by some of the greatest artists of all time including Raphael and Botticelli. The tour culminates with Michelangelo's frescoed vault in the Sistine Chapel. This 3-hour tour includes pick-up at your hotel and ends outside the Vatican Museums. Offered daily except Sunday, with certain blackout dates throughout the year. Meals B
